Parish Council Committees

Planning Applications Review Committee

Purpose: To review planning applications relating to land & properties within Temple Ewell, or in adjoining parishes that may have an impact on Temple Ewell as advised by Dover District Council Planning Department. Applications would normally be reviewed and commented on if appropriate at full Parish Council meetings, however because Dover District Council only permit 21 days to respond, there are occasions when this committee is required to review applications and respond to the District Council.

Finance Committee

Purpose: This committee meets annually in November to propose a budget for the following financial year along with a proposed Precept payment from Dover District Council (which form part of residents Council Tax). The proposals then go to the November full Parish Council meeting for approval.

Committee Members: Cllr. Dr. Michael Parks, Cllr. Charles Lynch, Cllr. Stuart Wilson, Parish Clerk

Village Events Committee

Purpose: To prepare and assist with the organisation and delivery of Parish Council celebratory events held within the village. These events include National celebrations, and the annual Christmas Lights switch-on event.
